All-season getaway in the heart of the village of Bedoin
A taste of village life
Living in the heart of a Provencal village means enjoying the simple pleasures of everyday life: taking the time to chat with the baker on the way to get your bread; sitting on the terrace of a café under the plane trees at aperitif time; watching the children play in the square as they leave school or enjoying the colourful spectacle offered by the pétanque players in a concert of clashing pairs of boules... The Slow Provence flats open directly onto Bédoin's main square, the scene of village life. Every Monday morning, one of Provence's finest markets takes place here, and on Saturday evenings from April to October, there's a small farmers' market. What's more, you're just a stone's throw from all the shops: bars, restaurants, supermarket, butcher's, tobacconist's, florist, bookshop, boutiques, chemist, bike hire, etc.
Cocoon in a cosy nest
While our three flats allow you to immerse yourself in village life, they have also been designed as cosy retreats offering all the comforts you could wish for, whether for a short stay or a long-term rental: soft beds, Scandinavian-style unfinished wooden furniture, soft, soothing colours, quality linen and fabrics... Particular attention has been paid to every detail, which is undoubtedly why you'll feel at home straight away. Located on the first and second floors of a village house, they can accommodate two to four people and are just as suitable for a solo getaway or a romantic getaway as they are for a stay with family or friends. You also have access to a laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer, as well as a private, secure bicycle storage area on the ground floor.
Top start for the ascent of Ventoux
If everything invites you to indolence, it's hard not to give in to the call of the Giant of Provence, which watches over Bédoin and the whole of the Comtat plain. Whether you want to climb it by bike or prefer to hike in the shade of its forest canopies, Mont Ventoux is simply a must-see. Built in 1885, the road from Bédoin is the oldest and most famous access route to Mont Ventoux. From the Slow Provence flats, you're exactly 200 m from the famous white line that marks kilometre zero of this legendary climb and is used by cyclists to set off their stopwatches to calibrate their performance over the 22 km ascent to the summit. What a symbol!
