Sarrians, small provençal town in the Côte du Rhone vineyards
The village of Sarrians and its many shops make for a pleasant stay in the heart of the Provençal countryside. Its geographic location makes it an ideal place from which to visit the region's unmissable sights such as Orange, Avignon, the perched villages of Mont Ventoux, the vineyards of Côtes du Rhône but also the Côte d'Azur with its exit onto the A7 hiway.
The Markets of Sarrians
Sarrians hosts a market every Sunday morning with a dozen stallholders selling fruit and vegetables, rotisserie meat, condiments, clothing and trinkets.
The small farmers’ market is held throughout the year on Tuesdays and Saturday mornings, plus one on Wednesdays from 17:00 until 19:00 during the summer season (April to September).
La Via Venaissia
This specially designed green route for bikes and walkers is 14 km (9 miles) long and retraces the route of the old railway between Orange and Fontaine de Vaucluse. The route stretches from Jonquière to Carpentras and offers beautiful landscapes across the Ouvèze, the vineyards and the Dentelles de Montmirail.
We recommend you take a break at the Bistrot de la Gare, a former train station serving the villages of Aubigan and Loriol du Comtat, refurbished as a bar and restaurant.
